This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you visit our website, contact us, or use our Service.
By using our website or Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you connect a third-party social media account, you also authorize us to access and process the information made available by that platform only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and the permissions you approve.
1. Who we are
Website: https://geeksofcybernet.com
Contact email: info@geeksofcybernet.com
We provide content creation, social media publishing, scheduling, campaign management, and related administrative tools for our own brands and for authorized users of our platform.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide directly may include your name, email address, login or account details, business or organization information, support messages, and any content or files you submit to us.
Content and campaign information may include social media posts, captions, images, videos, creative assets, publishing schedules, campaign names, drafts, prompts, approvals, status information, and publishing history.
When you connect a third-party social media account or page, we may receive information that the platform allows you to share with us, such as account identifiers, profile or page identifiers, display names, usernames, profile pictures, page names, permissions, access tokens, refresh tokens, publishing status, media identifiers, and basic engagement or analytics data where you have authorized those features.
Automatically collected information may include IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, log data, cookie identifiers, security events, and usage information about how the website or Service is accessed.
3. Meta, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads data
If you connect a Meta platform account, page, profile, or Threads account, we may receive data through Meta APIs and authorization flows. This may include Facebook, Instagram, or Threads account identifiers, page or profile identifiers, display names, usernames, profile images where permitted, authorized permissions, access tokens, content you ask us to publish, publishing status, and related metrics if enabled.
We use Meta platform data only to provide the features you request or authorize, such as connecting an account, displaying connected account details, scheduling or publishing content, confirming publishing status, troubleshooting errors, maintaining security, and showing limited performance or engagement information where permitted.
We do not sell Meta platform data. We do not use Meta platform data for unrelated advertising, profiling, or purposes that you have not authorized. We do not transfer Meta platform data except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, protect security, or use trusted service providers that process information on our behalf under confidentiality and security obligations.
4. How we use information
We use information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and Service; create, schedule, publish, manage, and review social media content; authenticate users; maintain connected account integrations; provide support; send service-related communications; troubleshoot errors; protect against unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements and policies.
We may also use contact information to respond to inquiries or send administrative notices. If we offer marketing communications, you may opt out of those communications at any time.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, fraud prevention, website functionality, preferences, analytics, and performance monitoring.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the website or Service.
6. How we share information
We may share information with service providers and vendors that help us host, secure, operate, analyze, maintain, or support the website and Service.
We may share information with connected third-party platforms when you direct us to do so, such as when you ask us to publish content or connect an account.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or the integrity of our Service.
If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Third-party platforms and OAuth connections
Our Service may use official APIs and authorization flows from third-party platforms, including Meta platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. When you choose to connect a platform account, you are redirected to that platform to review and approve the requested permissions.
You can disconnect an account in our Service where that option is available, revoke access in the third-party platform settings, or contact us for assistance. Revoking access may stop future collection from that platform but may not automatically delete information already stored by us. To request deletion of stored information, follow the data deletion instructions below.
8. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These safeguards may include access controls, restricted administrator access, encryption where technically supported, secure hosting practices, and monitoring for security issues.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information in a manner appropriate to the nature of the information and the Service.
9. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
Connected account tokens and related connection data are retained while the account remains connected or as needed to provide the Service. Scheduled content, media, and publishing records may be retained while needed for scheduling, publishing, audit, support, or account management purposes. Security and system logs may be retained for a limited period unless longer retention is required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely retain it only as permitted or required by law.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, restrict, object to, or request a copy of certain personal information we maintain about you. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@geeksofcybernet.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
11. Data deletion requests
You may request deletion of personal information, connected account data, and platform data that we maintain by emailing info@geeksofcybernet.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Please include the email address associated with your account, your name or business name, the connected social media account or page you want removed, and any relevant username, page name, or platform identifier if available.
After verifying the request, we will delete or anonymize information we maintain that is associated with your account, remove or revoke stored access tokens where applicable, delete connected account records where applicable, and stop processing the deleted connection for future publishing. We may retain limited information if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance purposes.
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You may also revoke app access directly through the settings of the relevant platform, including Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, but contacting us helps ensure stored information in our Service is addressed.
12. International users
If you access the website or Service from outside the country where we or our service providers operate, your information may be processed and stored in countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your location. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.
13. Children's privacy
Our website and Service are not directed to children under 13 years of age or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at info@geeksofcybernet.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website or Service after an updated policy is posted means you acknowledge the updated policy.
