Define a software-licensing lifecycle

Agree entitlements, activation rules, renewal and failure behaviour before integrating licence checks.

This guide summarizes the supplied product scope and practical planning approach. It is not evidence that every integration or feature is enabled in a current subscription.

Define what is being licensed

Name the product and the permission a customer receives. Distinguish a purchased feature from an installation limit or a support entitlement.

Agree lifecycle states

Document how issuing, validating, activating, deactivating and expiring a licence should behave. Decide which customer or administrator actions move it between states.

Plan the failure path

Network errors and denied entitlements are different situations. The client and server need an explicit contract for responses, retries and escalation.

Keep secrets out of client code

A public plugin or application must not contain private server credentials. Use the approved integration contract and a controlled test environment.

Make support possible

Retain the activity needed to investigate a disputed activation without leaking unnecessary information. Delivery, hosting and commercial conditions should be agreed during a technical review.
